Decks
"Decks" are a way of working with groups of words. You can define as many decks as you wish, and in each deck you can put
up to a number of words.
Adding words to decks
You can add words to decks in several different ways:
- From the word information page, click on the "decks" tab. Afterwards, either choose an existing group or type in a new group name and press "Add It!"
- If you are logged, after searching for a word, you can add the results to a deck directly from the results page
- After taking a test, you can add all the words that you didn't get correctly to a deck. Simply go to the "personal progress" page, choose "tests" and select the test whose words you wish to add.
- You can add many words at once using the "decks" tab of the "personal progress" page. In that page you can specify a set of conditions (such as "transitive verbs with difficulty not exceeding 3"), and all matching words will be added to the selected deck.
- In that same page, you can add words from decks defined by the administrators as "public" decks
Using decks
Decks are important because, once you've defined a deck you can:
- Print flashcards for the words in that deck. To do so, pick "Personal Progress" from the main menu, then click on the "decks" tab, and finally click on the "flashcards" icon (
) located in front of the group you are interested in
- When configuring a new test, you can select how many words from each deck to include in the test.
- Print "writing practice sheets" for the words in that deck. These sheets allow you to practice writing the characters in the group
- ...more to come...
